Fats to consume in Arthritis

One of the main sources of fat in the Mediterranean diet is olive oil. Most of its fats are monounsaturated and polyunsaturated. According to a review of studies conducted in 2019, people with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) can benefit from consuming more polyunsaturated fatty acids.

Replace saturated fats, such as butter, with healthier oils, such as olive, avocado, canola, safflower, sesame, and walnut oils. Nuts, seeds, and fatty fish are also sources of healthy fats in the diet.
