Cruciferous veggies include brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower. These foods block enzymes that result in swelling of the joints. They are also packed with antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and fiber.




Researchers in Maryland found that sulforaphane, an antioxidant found in cruciferous vegetables, blocks an enzyme responsible for joint pain and inflammation. 


In addition to aiding arthritis patients, it may be helpful for athletes who put a lot of pressure on their joints.
